Joseph (Joey) started at Amana Construction at 19 years old in 2015 as a part time employee; he helped with cleaning up jobs sites and delivering materials. Joey quickly proved his hard work ethics and started working full time for Amana. Since then, Joey has spent time with Khue learning the ins and outs of production and has taken on some of the major production tasks; ordering materials, ordering dumpsters, scheduling the work crews and obtaining and closing job permits.
When he’s not working, Joey spends most of his time with his son, James (3), they like to play outside at the park or go long boarding. Joey loves the open road and takes any chance he can get to take a road trip. Whether it’s a day trip to Northern Minnesota or a long weekend in Colorado, you’ll always find Joey looking for the next adventure.
Heather joined Amana Construction back in 2015 as a part time executive assistant to their Lead Sales Manager. Her natural attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills lead her to join the team full time, taking over the general office management duties of the company.
Heather is known as the glue that holds it all together and has acquired a wide range of experience since beginning with Amana Construction. She is responsible for all office procedures and a variety of administrative and clerical tasks; marketing and lead generation, as well as overseeing all customer files for each sales team member. She uses her organizational skills to ensure smooth and efficient operations in a busy work environment.
Prior to working at Amana, Heather had spent 12 years in customer service, and 4 years at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
Her true passion in life is helping others and anything to do with animals. When she is not at work, you will find Heather spending time with her close friends and family or enjoying the outdoors with her fiancé Ryan and their dog Alfredo.
Charles started his career with Amana in June of 2018 as a Sales Manager. His experience as a Civil Engineer and knowledge of the construction and insurance industry has helped Charles adapt quickly to his new role at Amana.
As Sales Manager, Charles oversees recruiting and training new talent. He sets goals and works with his team to achieve them. While bringing in new business it critical for Charles’ role, he pairs that task with focusing on customer experience and satisfaction. Amana is excited to have Charles on board with us.
Charles was born and raised in the south of Brazil and came to Minnesota last year with his wife to start their new adventure together. When Charles isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog. He also likes to watch sports, especially soccer, and enjoys cooking too!
We have asked Sam to write something about himself. but he’s too modest. Suffice to say he’s one of our best sales team members, and will help you understand all the options you have for your next project!
Kelly is head of Human Resources and handles all the bookkeeping for Amana Construction. She received her B.S in Financial Economics in 2012 and spent the first couple years out of college working for a large financial institution. In 2015, Kelly joined Amana Construction to help with some of the office responsibilities. Since then, Kelly’s role has gradually evolved into an administrative role.
As head of HR, Kelly oversees compliance, new hire on-boarding, payroll and other company administrative responsibilities. She helped to create new policies and procedures to ensure compliancy and takes charge when tasks and procedures seem like they need additional attention. Kelly also handles all the bookkeeping for Amana and uses her financial and organizational skills to help maintain a successful business.
While Kelly works very hard in her role here at Amana, she must maintain a flexible work schedule to care for and maintain hers and Khue’s children and household. In between working at Amana and caring for the children and house, Kelly manages to squeeze in time for herself, friends and family every chance she gets.
Khue started his career in the restoration industry as a door to door salesman for a local Twin Cities roofing company in 2006. In 2012 Amana Construction offered him a partnership in exchange for building and growing their restoration division. Since Khue has joined the company, Amana has enjoyed steady growth every year and has become very reputable in the industry.
As General Manager, Khue oversees all company operations; sales, marketing, production, project management, estimating and administrative. He’s a “get your hands dirty” type of guy, spending more time in the field working with homeowners, insurance adjusters and sub-contractors rather than sitting at the office.
Khue’s demanding day doesn’t end after work, he is a husband and a father of two, 2-year-old boy & 1-year old girl, Teddy & Eleanor. Whether it’s summer or winter, he spends as much outdoor time with his kids as possible. If he’s not with his kids, it must be Sunday during football season!!! SKOL Vikings!!!
